Beijing Four Star Hotels – Is Oriental Garden Hotel Beijing a Good Choice for YOU?
Beijing Four Star Hotels Roundup – Well, Beijing has many 4 Star hotels so it is tough to figure out which is the best in the category. However, there are some hotels you will best avoid. I will relive my not-so-good experience at Oriental Garden Hotel Beijing and you decide for yourself.
I stayed at the Executive Floor. There’s free internet access and free snacks/coffee in the Lounge. Room-wise, I had no real complaints and most of the needed facilities like fridge/TV were in good condition. The bed was good and I had a good sleep during the 2 nights. So, what’s the problem? Well, I do appreciate the nice room and all but what irked me was the SERVICE. Firstly, the cleaning staff was downright rude and totally ignored my “DO NOT DISTURB” sign on the door. To make matter worse, I was in the middle of a tele-conferencing with a client. I really did not know what to say to her as I was still in my brief (“Making Money in your Underwear” happens to be my favorite book!) Secondly, there was a lack of English-speaking staff. It was tough to converse and get things done. This is a Four Star Hotel and so I expected more. Even at the Business Centre where you expect a certain level of service and English standard, I had nothing but disappointment. Worse of all, they charge HIGH for printing in the Business Centre. I was shocked to know that they charge US$1.3 for a copy. Beijing Four Star Hotels Verdict - I hate to be a whiner so I am going to stop writing. This is not even a 2 or 3 star hotel when it comes to Customer Service. No doubt the hotel has good decor and rooms but I deserve more! Will I stay there again? NEVER! Address: Not going to spoil your stay in Beijing. As I may be biased, I will encourage all of you to read other reviews of this hotel elsewhere for a more balanced verdict.
