Buy Computers Beijing – There are many places to buy computers and electronic stuff in Beijing. However, if you ask any local in Beijing, Zhong Guan Cun will probably be the recommended choice.

Known as "Silicon Valley of China”, Zhong Guan Cun is THE place to buy PCs/Notebooks/Mac and more. You can build your own PC by buying the parts them at comparably lower prices than anywhere else in Beijing.

I know of friends who travel from Tianjin (2 hours of bus ride) to buy PC parts here. It’s that good!

You can have most of the top international brands of computers here. Of course, you can buy China brands like me.

Buy Computers Beijing – My Personal Experience

I bought my Lenovo Notebook (a top China Computer brand that bought over IBM notebook division) in Zhong Guan Cun 2 years back.

It costs me less that US$ 650 and I am still using her (she is ‘Sheila” to me) to type out this article.

Besides buying my notebook here, I bought many pirated software for work (Website Design, Illustrator and even Accounting software) and gaming (I am a fan of EA Sports FIFA Series)

Zhong Guan Cun is also a must-come place to buy gifts (like MP3/MP4 players, and DVD game software) for my siblings and nephews when I go back for my Christmas holiday. And the price I pay here is nowhere near what I will pay for the same kind of products in Singapore.

Remember, the price is much lower when you are buying China branded electronics. And having used China branded electronic for the past few years, I am quite happy with their quality.

My Aigo MP4 Player (which is made in China) is still serving me well after 2 years and I am a rough user.

Buy Computers Beijing Tips

You can bargain for a lower price but it will not be the same“Halve-the-Asking-Price” formula at the Pan Jia Yuan Flea Market(please read more here Beijing Flea Market).

For me, I usually lower it by 10-15% but that depends on the situation. I will advise all of you to visit as many shops as possible to compare prices for the same product.

Where is Zhong Guan Cun?

Ask your hotel’s concierge (or any locals).
