Deluxe Hotels Beijing – Kempinski Hotel and The Crowne Plaza

Deluxe Hotels Beijing - What is my pick of deluxe hotels Beijing for business travelers? Well, there are quite a few choices here. However, for my clients, I usuallyput them up in these few hotels.

Kempinski Beijing

If my company is paying for my clients’ stay in Beijing, there is no better place than Kempinski Hotel. This is probably the best hotel especially for my German clients.

Firstly, Kempinski Hotel is situated at the centre of Lufthansa District (yep, a German name!). More importantly, this well-known business traveler’s deluxe hotel has a supermarket in the basement stocked with a variety of local and imported food and beverages.

And, my German guests love it when they can buy their favorite German sausages whenever they miss home. In addition, my guests have Paulaner Brauhaus (yep, another familiar German name!) within the hotel and it is a great place to savor good German beers with fellow expats.

No wonder it is the German tourist’s favorite deluxe hotels Beijing knows the likes and dislikes well of their guests from Germany and that’s to provide good German beers and sausages.

For food lovers, this hotel houses 5 international restaurants which mean you will not have a lack of choices when it comes to satisfying your tummy. Of course, the price is much higher than what you pay outside but it is worth it, especially when you compare prices to what you pay at home for the equivalent meal.

So, if you have the dough to fork out about US$310 per night, this is a great place to rest your tired body after a hard day’s work of wheeling and dealing.

My other favorite hotel for business travel is The Crowne Plaza as it has a dedicated Business Centre and is conveniently located.

The hotel is at a walking distance from the International commercial centre, shopping complex, historical sights and cultural districts. It will take only 20 minutes drive from Beijing Railway Station and roughly about 45 minutes from the Beijing International Airport to arrive at this hotel.

Best of all, The Crowne Plaza staff is well-trained and speak relatively good English (at least when I was there in June 2007). It is probably one of the best choices for holding conferences or big business meetings as it offers 5 meeting rooms (the largest of which can accommodate 350 guests).

The room rate is about US$200 per night depending on the season and I do feel it is reasonable. That is, if you are working out of your hotel room and you are planning to use their business facilities.
