Jazz Club Beijing – I have many friends who are into jazz music. Andwhen they do travel to Beijing, I have not much choice but to bring them to a jazz club to satisfy their craving.

And where do I bring them?

You guess it, East Shore Jazz Club!

Jazz Club Beijing – The Musicians’ Hangout

As some of my visitors are serious music lovers, they love East Shore's eclectic line-up and its award-winning decor. The music ranges from funky grooves, R'n'B to Free jazz, where anything can happen during the set.

East Shore Jazz Club features live jazz only From Thursday to Sunday.

There’s a traditional jazz-bar atmosphere but it can be rather smoky inside. This is one of the main reasons why my wife hates it when I asked her to tag along. She needs to entertain my client’s wife who probably hates jazz music too.

Besides the good jazz and cozy atmosphere, this place boasts one of the best views of HouHai as you can overlook the lake through the large picture window. This is especially so in the late evenings with the full moon just up above, it’s an amazing sight.

It is really nice and romantic if you have Nat King Cole crooning “Unforgettable” on their CD jukebox. Not forgetting a cold tall drink and a beautiful girl in your arms, of course!

East Shore Jazz Club is opened by legendary jazzman Liu Yuan - ex-manager of CD Jazz Café. This probably explains why the music is so good here!

If you have the opportunity to talk to him, please do. He’s a real interesting guy and he will even buy you a drink if you are interesting enough.

Especially if you’re a jazz musician, he will eveninvite you up on the stage to jam with him…and please make sure you’re a REAL jazz musician.

Trust me, the crowd is very picky about the music here!

Jazz Club Beijing – Stylish Ladies Galore

Did I mention that you can find many stylish and beautiful ladies here?

Well, the answer is YES!

And NO!

Most of the time, the ladies are out with their men on dates. So, you can ogle all you want but please do not hassle anyone there. This is not the best pick-up joint in Beijing.

As for me, I love it when I see men get jealous and drooling whenever they see my sexy wife in my arms at the club. Oh Yeah!
