Simple mandarin Conversation – Today we will be learning how to ask for time in Chinese. It is not rocket scientist stuff and it will only take a while to learn it well.

Now’s the time to learn!

 

Simple Conversation: Asking for Time

 

What time is it?: "Shen Me Shi Jian?" (Time –"Shi Jian")

Now it is five o’clock: "Xian Zai Shi Wu Dian" (Five – "Wu")

One: "Yi"

Two: "Er"

Three: "San"

Four: "Si"

Five: "Wu"

Six: "Liu"

Seven: "Qi"

Eight: "Ba"

Nine: "Jiu"

Ten: "Shi"

Eleven: "Shi Yi"

Twelve: "Shi Er"

My watch is a Rolex: "Wo De Biao Shi Rolex" (this is for show-offs out there! Anyway, Watch – "Biao")

 

Vocabulary:

 

Now: "Xian Zai"

Today: "Jin Tian"

Tomorrow: "Ming Tian"

Yesterday: "Zuo Tian"

Morning: "Zao Chen"

Noon: "Zhong Wu"

Afternoon: "Xia Wu"

Evening: "Bang Wan"

Night: "Ye Wan"

Breakfast: "Zao Can"

Lunch: "Wu Can"

Dinner: "Wan Can"

Before: "Zhi Qian"

After: "Zhi Hou"
